Workshops and Resources

Bridges of Support workshops provide creative and intensive training experiences to introduce new concepts, promote actual process practice and hands on skills giving the learner the opportunity for growth in the area of: Post-secondary Education/Vocational Training (post-secondary training that will help find gainful employment based upon his/her skill set and interest.) Employability Preparedness (teaching employability skills, assisting individuals with disability with job placement and on-going support to ensure employment sustainability). Independent living (Enhance growth and development to support to young adult with development and intellectual differences help reach their full potentials.) Self-Advocacy/Peer Mentoring (learning to make your own decisions about your life. It's understanding your strengths and weaknesses, developing personal goals, standing up for yourself, and making decisions). (Counseling and advice provide to people with disabilities by other people with disabilities who combine knowledge about resources and experience with their own personal experience living with disabilities). Community involvement /Resources (Young adults with intellectual disability to explore their involvement in work, recreation, and leisure activities within the community. so they will be able to locate and maximize resource that will help with support of their transition in adulthood).
