Student Advocate

Bridges of Support Student Advocates' want to empower families through education and resources to ensure that students special Individualized needs are met. Our advocates will help families understand available services, interpret test results, and work with schools to plan individualized education programs (IEPs). Also our Advocates will help prepare parents for IEP and 504 meetings (meetings that outline the services and accommodations students will receive and how schools will remove barriers to learning}. We will check special education documents for accuracy and completion. Also, we will accompany parents to IEP and 504 meetings to offer advice and assistance.
